I was born in Northern California. He attended California College of the Arts, known then as California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland. I have exhibited
in Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and his own Renaissance Gallery in Mendocino County, California. I currently live and work in Northwest Oregon.
I work in watercolors, pastels, charcoal and oils. I am compelled the grace and elegance of the natural world—the human form, deserts, mountains, rivers and seas. My goal is to trigger in the viewer a feeling similar to what I feel when I turn my attention toward the truth of the natural world.
I own an awareness that there is only a handful of artists, living or dead, who have mastered the skills of expression. The rest of us merely struggle with the attempt. It’s a small target but I am driven to keep shooting my arrows at it.
