Artist Statement

My illustrations are inspired by things I see in the world around me. They are very process oriented for me. I have spent my career as an artist making three dimensional sculpture in glass and metal. After taking a few year hiatus from sculpture, I started making these illustrations that are etched in stainless. I use cutouts in the stainless that expose the wood and other metals underneath to create depth and warmth in the images.
