Artist Statement

My most creative work comes from my efforts to simplify images, techniques and ideas so that I can teach what I am learning in my painting, drawing and Art of Fashion classes. My students (at Multnomah Arts Center, Markham House and my own studio) range in age from 6 – 97. Their varied skills and interests inspire me to experiment with a variety of styles and media, and study the work of other artists. All of these pieces started out as a lesson and grew into finished work that reflects my love of color, line and natural forms.

Medium: Acrylic, Colored Pencil
