Tyree Exhibit at CCC-Wilsonville
January 30 - March 17
Steve Tyree, Sculptor
Toni Tyree, Mixed Media artist
January 9 –March 17, 2017
Steve & Toni Tyree are artists that live in the Ecola Hills of Amity Oregon.
Toni paints with watercolor and oil. The colors she chooses are vibrant and uplifting. She loves to paint landscapes. Toni says, “The creative process takes my mind to another place. One of quiet and silence, where I believe one finds soul. My love of color and nature motivates me. The Oregon landscape and ever-changing skies provide my inspiration.”
In 1974, Steve began to sculpt small steel animals, using the welding skills he had acquired while working at this brother’s auto body shop. Over time Steve began to develop his own techniques of fabricating his work from bronze sheets.
Steve’s process of direct metalwork takes a little longer to sculpt, but he loves forging each piece of his art from beginning to end, and people enjoy the uniqueness of every sculpture.
Steve Tyree’s goal with his art is to express his love and appreciation of nature and wildlife by evoking the inherent spirit of each bird and animal, capturing their grace and movement.
Steve and Toni’s work will be on exhibit at the Clackamas Community College Wilsonville Campus, located at 29353 SW Town Center Loop East, Wilsonville OR 97070. The exhibit runs January 9th-March 17th. The exhibit is open to the public.
Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm.
