We are excited to announce that the Clackamas County Cultural Coalition recently awarded a contract to consultant Bill Flood and team, through a competitive bidding process, to perform an investigation in support of revising the County Cultural Plan for Arts, Heritage and Humanities. Work will be ongoing through August 2017 and will include numerous opportunities for public participation in community meetings, surveys and interviews.

As many of you know, the Cultural Coalition provides crucial funding to organizations that create the County’s vibrant arts, heritage and humanities environment. The Cultural Plan guides funding decisions, and requires comprehensive review now to ensure future needs are met. The County’s economic, cultural and social landscapes have changed since the Clackamas County Cultural Plan was first created thirteen years ago. A rigorous and far-reaching assessment of current and future need is essential for the Coalition to understand how best to strengthen its support of its arts, heritage, and humanities communities. The primary focus of this project is to develop a responsive and forward-looking Cultural Plan while supporting existing needs of cultural organizations.

Stay tuned and watch for announcements about community engagement opportunities in your neighborhood this spring.
