The Arts Council of Lake Oswego (ACLO) presents

Drink and Draw: Watercolor as Meditation

Friday, March 2, 6 – 8 pm

510 Museum & ARTspace, Lake Oswego

In conjunction with the exhibition, Art as Refuge, Drink & Draw will focus on art-making as a meditative experience with watercolor as the medium. Come gently and quietly to go within yourself for a relaxing evening of watercolor painting in a welcoming community setting. How art can create a space for dialogue about issues—social, political, and personal—which affect us all?

Artist and educator Laura Janes will lead us through an exploration of color, the watercolor process, and creation. Each participant will leave with a finished artwork. The Arts Council will provide you with all materials to create your artwork, as well as delicious bites and beverages.

What to bring: Yourself, a friend, and an enthusiasm for artistic expression. Please wear clothing appropriate for painting.

What you’ll get: All supplies for artmaking, festive food and drink, an excellent evening!

Cost: $50 per person.
