Artist in Residence: Rodolfo Serna

Completed Summer 2016

Project Description/Scope of Work

Todos Juntos’ mission is to develop the partnerships necessary that lead to the creation or enhancement of local resources and services to all youth and families. Todos Juntos received grant funding to provide a leadership program for middle school students (10 – 14 years of age) at both Cedar Ridge Middle School in Sandy and Molalla Middle School in Molalla focused on Cesar Chavez and his role as a civil rights activist and community leader.

As part of the program, students participated in six weeks of artist in residence programming and learned about art mediums and techniques with ample opportunity for hands-on participation and creation of artwork. The capstone of the program was for students from each school to create a mural for their school based on Cesar Chavez and his life.
