The “Masterpooches” Series was inspired by my Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, Cadette. After rubbing her face on the bed, she looked up to me with a blank stare, beard and horizontal mustache – Salvador Dali…..no, Salvador Doggie! The idea was formed. So many “pooches” and artists to choose from. I painted each image with the style, materials, and format of the artist emulated. I hope you enjoy the final results. 

The Pollinators Series has been painted recently, after I started beekeeping on our small rural property. I’m fascinated with the civility of the hive colony, their sole purpose to the collective and survival. We have much to learn about these insects, and our protection of these pollinators (and other native species) weighs heavily upon the survival of humans.
