ABOUT:
I am an artist who sketches nearly every day and records the world around me. I like to work on-location, plein air, when the weather and situation allows for that. Meanwhile the sketches bring the place and location back to me in a fresh recall.
The works you see were all sketched on location originally; the painting designing and work begin after that initial experience. It is the world I see and the world that I redesign to reflect my emotional experience through color, design, balance, flow. Yes, I use the elements and principles of design to make my paintings come alive.
