My subjects, esthetics, techniques and motivations are largely traditional. I love the natural world and situations in which humankind and nature have achieved a harmonious balance. I believe that landscape painters can contribute to this ecological balance by constantly and artfully affirming its value and beauty. It is this contact with one of the greatest issues of our time that makes us modern artists regardless of our intrinsic style.
I am grateful to the past masters for their brilliant and generous guidance and for the rich language they developed over the centuries. Their artistic gifts continually serve as inspiration.
