In creating my artwork I enjoy exploring how color, shape, line, and composition interact to create meaning. The work in this series is my ode to summers in Oregon, following the season from garden or farm to harvest and table. I work mainly in acrylic, watercolor, and colored pencils.
Although I typically paint in solitude, I view my work as collaborative, as it doesn’t always tell a particular story so much as it implies a story to be told, sets a scene that might evoke a memory, or create a setting for other people’s stories.
