Artist Statement

Her studio is just outside Portland, OR, with a beautiful view of Mt. Hood. Her work is organic, inspired by nature, usually highly textured, and begs to be touched.

“Recently I have embarked upon a new avenue, painting. I do abstract acrylics. I am enjoying the ability to work with color – so different than my ceramics when the color is only realized when the pieces are taken out of the kiln. It is such a joy to explore the colors and textures. The spontaneity of the medium and the somewhat unpredictable results are endlessly interesting”.

Medium: Acrylic & Ink
