Group Statement

High school art students at North Clackamas Christian School are challenged to explore drawing, painting, calligraphy, ceramics, graphic design, product design and repurposed design. After grasping the practical foundation of each discipline’s tools and techniques, artists are encouraged to use the creative process of brainstorming, gathering and eliminating ideas, sketching, getting input, modifying and prototyping in order to make a finished work of art that is a unique expression of their gifts.

At NCCS, art education is valued because it teaches problem solving skills essential for success in any endeavor, with broad applications to the community and workplace.
