Artist Statement

In creating art, my inspiration comes from the varied scenic beauty and remarkable natural and cultural history of the Pacific Northwest. For many years I have enjoyed hiking, climbing, kayaking, skiing or backpacking in some of the Northwest’s most wild and scenic places. Now I enjoy telling stories of those outdoor adventures through my landscape and seascape paintings.
