In 2011, the Clackamas County Arts Alliance created the Youth Arts for Change (“YAC”) Program in response to needs expressed by local partners like the Juvenile Department and Parrott Creek Child and Family Services.

YAC sought to engage youth in creative programming, using the arts as a catalyst to promote positive change in the lives of vulnerable and underserved Clackamas Youth.

Over the past 10 years, YAC has engaged several hundred youth, and provided Clackamas residents with original plays and art exhibits seen by thousands. Even with the challenges of the past 2 years, we are excited to see the YAC program growing and evolving to better meet the needs of youth during these unprecedented times.

To mark this milestone, we will be mounting an exhibit commemorating 10 Years of Youth Arts for Change, to be hung on December 9 and 14 at the Public Services and Development Services buildings at the Redstone Campus in Oregon City.

We invite the public to come see the exhibit, and celebrate our youth and their creativity while supporting YAC as we move forward with the next 10 years with exciting and new programming!

Check out the exhibit now! And keep an eye out for more exciting news to come once 2022 rolls in!
