Artist Statement

My purpose is to capture and convey the sense of awe and wonder for the cities of Florence and especially Venice.

I left my heart in Venice. My inspiration is the interplay of light and weather on marble and water. Venice’s rose gold shimmering on Gothic arches is irresistible and heightens the romanticism and mystery.

My chosen media to interpret antiquity is watercolor, graphite, ink, and masa paper.

Medium: Watercolor & Graphite
