Artist Statement

I am exploring all forms of representational painting in oil, acrylic and casein media. Whenever possible, I enjoy plein air, striving to capture essence of the location rather than a mere generic landscape. I keep a diary of daily drawing and urban sketching in pen and watercolor wherever I go. Thus scenes from the PNW represent most of my landscapes. Three of the five works presented here are taken from vistas within my home town, Happy Valley.

Medium: Casein, Oil, Acrylic
