Annually Lake Oswego Public Library invites the entire community to participate in Lake Oswego Reads program. This year their 12th annual book selection is Lily Brooks-Dalton’s “Good Morning, Midnight”. The Washington Post book review states “It is exquisite…a beautifully written, sparse post-apocalyptic novel that explores memory, loss, and identity.” Two main characters, an astronomer alone in the frozen reaches of the arctic, and an astronaut making the long voyage home from Jupiter when she lost connection with mission control, struggle to make sense of their situation and their lives.
Part of Lake Oswego Reads activities includes an art show. The 20 artists who were given the book to read interpreted different aspects of the book they found inspiring.
