I paint what inspires me. With my paintings I seek to transport the viewer to another place and time; to transform the observer into participant. As a ‘scape artist, I am captivated by Nature’s dynamic displays: the sky right before the deluge; a crashing, stormy sea; the dramatic interplay of light and color. My paintings are informed by the mood created when colors contrast within a vibrant atmosphere. I paint with oils to capture both the depth and luminescence of light, reflecting it to the viewer so they are compelled to return.
