Artist Statement

I have been interested in art since I was 8 years old. I mainly worked in photography and still take photographs regularly.

After my wife passed away, I took some art classes at Clackamas Community College and enrolled in Chris Whitten’s watercolor class 4 years ago.

I found watercolor to be an interesting medium and I can combine my interests, driving the back roads in search of rustic subjects, photographing them and finally making paintings of them.

I continue to learn and improve my paintings and have shown and sold some which keeps me wanting to do better.

Medium: Watercolor
