Artist Statement

I recently studied drawing and painting at the Flint Institute of Arts School in Michigan while caring for my parents. Now residing in Happy Valley, I am focused on drawing, painting and freelance web design. Inspiration begins when I am able to make and find meaning through a full engagement and integration with a new place; to reflect, add to and enhance the culture I choose to inhabit. My oil and water media painting reflects my environment and its cultures, how I feel about the land I inhabit and the people I meet. Naturalism is the style I prefer.

Medium: Acrylic, Mixed Media
