Artist Statement

I began painting and doing mixed media out of a very primal need to create with my hands. In 2009, I began playing with fabric and cut paper. That soon shifted into a variety of media. In 2015, I discovered “intuitive painting” and started to play with acrylic paints. When I begin a painting, I never know where it will take me. I look for balance with colors and patterns while allowing a spacious feeling to remain. I create intuitive art and intuitive abstract art using acrylics and other media, as well as a variety of mark-making tools.

Medium: Acrylic, Ink
