At the age of 13, Kristin bought her first camera, a 35mm Olympus OMF, and took off to Japan on a month long foreign exchange student program through FHA. From that point on she was hooked on photography. In 1988, Kristin was one of 4 students who shot and developed photos, created the layout and produced her school’s yearbook. Kristin’s current passion is photographing birds and macro photography, including insects and flowers. Birds are her favorite because of the challenge involved in capturing a constantly moving, unpredictable subject and the ability to combine photography with her love to travel.
