Artist Statement

Growing up in rural Clackamas County, I have been privileged by our approximation to the beautiful wildlife and gorgeous nature supplied by our surroundings. I am forever inspired by the natural world. My art reflects that inspiration. Whether I am trying to convey anthropomorphic concepts using animal relationships in watercolor, or trying to capture the beauty of your favorite pet in oil, my love for animals and nature is clear.

The mediums I use are inspired by my love for traditional techniques and materials. I enjoy making my own paints, drawing materials and tools.

Medium: Oil and Watercolor
