Artist Statement
After my retirement from work in the theater in New York City I studied drawing and painting at the Flint Institute of Arts School in Michigan while caring for my parents. Inspiration begins when I am able to make and find meaning through a full engagement and integration with a new place, to reflect, add to and enhance the culture I choose to inhabit. My painting reflects my environment and its cultures, how I feel about the land I inhabit and the people I meet. Representational landscape is the type of artwork I am producing in oil and water media.
Medium: Oil
