Artist Statement

There is this attraction to painting and drawing. I’m seldom without various materials or techniques in mind – both two-dimensional and fiber arts are part of my life. Finding inspiration seems natural; it could come from sunlight on grass or a walk to the river. I like impressions of the landscape or of nature, the garden and lately work-up sketches of people “doing.” I switch between mediums to keep connected, vary interaction with materials, grow. Teaching drawing or painting is also a very fulfilling connection to people.

Medium: Watercolor
