Like many artists, Elo Wobig has loved mark making since childhood. While practicing her first career as a physician, making art for her family and her children’s school were her outlets of creativity. Though she continued to draw on occasion, it was not until 2017 did she begin to paint in oil. A love of exploration lead her to a focus on landscapes, often created en plein air. In concert, she continues her practice sketching with pen and water media, especially while traveling. She deliberately depicts scenes such that a viewer could recognize the specific location by its features.
