Adult Makerspace Workshops

June 26 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every 2 weeks that begins at 1:00 pm on Sunday, repeating indefinitely

Want some hands-on experience with some of the library’s coolest gadgets? These workshop hours offer the chance to get up close and personal with our Glowforge, 3D printer and vinyl cutter!

The Emerging Tech Librarian will be on hand to troubleshoot and give you a quick orientation to the equipment and software, but otherwise, the time is yours to work on your own projects or simply get a feel for what these awesome machines are capable of!

There is one timeslot available per machine every other Sunday. Here are some things to consider before your appointment:

  • Be sure to review the quickstart guide for the machine and software you’d like to use.
  • Browse the internet for some ideas of what project you might like to try, taking into consideration the time limits of the appointment as mentioned on the registration page for each.
  • Be sure you have a usb flash drive (or cloud storage accessible on a PC) to save your files – our computers cannot save files between appointments!
  • Contact the Emerging Tech Librarian at [email protected] if you have any questions! You won’t be on your own – if you are completely new to this technology, they are here to help

These workshops are for ages 16+ only.

Register at the links below – Your timeslot will say 1 minute, but it is a one hour program.
