Turn Imagination into Form and Space

Sculpture challenges you to see things from multiple perspectives. It can enhance your relationship with drawing or painting.

Using basic techniques and materials, instructor Chas Martin helps you create dynamic forms and spaces. Each technique builds on the previous, preparing you to create larger, more complex forms. The wire armature is a flexible line drawing in space that defines the planes of your final sculpture. As you manipulate these “lines,” you gain a more intimate understanding of your piece. Chas’ methods are both playful and enlightening. He encourages experiments and mistakes that result in surprising discoveries as you complete your sculpture.

Learn more about Chas Martin on our instructor page.
