Milwaukie: Then & Now Exhibit
May 14 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Saturday, repeating until December 15, 2022
Milwaukie has changed over the years, new buildings and businesses, a new landscape, many new residents, and yet, places still captured in time.
Opening April 2nd is Milwaukie Museum’s newest exhibit entitled “Milwaukie: Then & Now.”
The exhibition displays side by side comparisons of locations around the city with original photos to the present day. The exhibit delivers visitors a glimpse into how
Milwaukie and life has changed over time recalling nostalgia for life-long residents and perspective for new residents.
Some of the Milwaukie: Then and Now photos include City Hall, Main Street, several businesses, schools, Kellogg Lake, and more. Artifacts relating to the photos and the then and now theme include relics from the Crystal Lake Amusement Park (now Crystal Lake Apartments), a 1950s telephone switchboard, and more.
The Milwaukie Museum located at 3737 SE Adams St. is open on Saturdays from 1pm to 5pm and admission is free but donations are appreciated.
