SUMMARY:Hypnosis: The Myth of Black Tea
DESCRIPTION:Descend deep into black tea. Bold\, grounding\, and full of sweet mystery\, each cup brings spiraling presence and comforting stillness. \nDrift into the world of black tea\, where warmth and stillness intertwine. In this guided tasting\, we will explore several black teas through mindful brewing\, comparing their unique expressions and stories that span regions and traditions. Together\, we’ll move through a spiral of sensations that invite grounding\, reflection\, and deeper connection to the present moment. \nThis gathering is offered with a suggested contribution of $35. In the spirit of inclusivity and balance\, you are welcome to offer what feels right for you\, whether that is $35\, $25\, or more if you have the means. Contributions above the suggested amount help make this experience accessible to those with financial need and sustain the ongoing care and energy poured into holding spaces like this. Every offering\, whether financial or energetic\, affirms the value of community supported education. \nWe also acknowledge the systemic barriers that have long limited access for BIPOC communities. To honor this\, a $15 option is available for BIPOC participants who would benefit from it. This is one way we commit to equity\, ensuring that diversity is not only welcomed but integral to the richness of the experience. \nIf the listed prices are still a barrier\, please reach out directly. We are more than willing to work with you to ensure that tea remains within reach for all who feel called to share in it. \nAll are welcome here. You are invited to arrive exactly as you are and take part in a space rooted in openness\, care\, and community\, a living space where each presence is honored and where we grow together through the deep\, transformative beauty of tea. \nTo help us hold a mindful and welcoming space\, we ask participants to be considerate of sensory sensitivities by avoiding strong fragrances. This is a space of gentle awareness\, where we honor our own needs as well as those of others. By showing up with openness\, care\, and respect for each other’s boundaries\, we create a collective atmosphere where meditation\, tea\, and queer belonging can flourish together. \nIn the spirit of reciprocity and uplifting community together\, five dollars from each participant will be donated to Q Center\, a nonprofit that supports LGBTQ2SIA+ communities through advocacy\, resources\, and safe spaces\, embodying tea’s spirit of connection\, reflection\, healing\, and belonging. \nThis gathering is guided by D’Guar (they/them)\, a trans person of color\, tea guide\, and community weaver rooted in Portland\, Oregon. Their journey has been dedicated to exploring the depth and spirit of Camellia sinensis through mindful practice\, story\, and shared ritual. Through Water Fairy Tea\, they cultivate spaces where tea becomes a bridge into presence\, nature\, and belonging. Their offerings blend learning with reverence\, inviting participants to meet tea not just as a drink\, but as a living companion in personal discovery\, collective care\, and connection with the natural world.

SUMMARY:Miracle On 34th Street
DESCRIPTION:Set in New York City\, Miracle on 34th Street\, the play is a heartwarming holiday classic that follows the journey of Kris Kringle (Robert Lovitz)\, an older man released from a retirement home\, who gets a job working as Santa Claus for Macy’s holiday season. \nDoris Walker (Ariel Puls)\, a single mother who works at the same Macy’s\, doesn’t want her daughter\, Susan (Georgia Krugel)\, to believe in any romantic notions about Santa. Complications arise when neighbor and lawyer Fred Gayley (Conor Eifler) tries to win Doris over by taking Susan to see Santa Claus. Young Susan is enchanted by the experience\, but Doris remains doubtful. Kris surprises both customers and employees by claiming he truly is Santa Claus and begins directing parents to other stores to find the specific toy their child wants. \nSeen as deluded and dangerous by Sawyer (Jacob Bean-Watson)\, Macy’s vocational counselor\, Kris faces a court hearing overseen by Judge Harper (Mark Schwahn) to verify the validity of his claim and\, more importantly\, his authenticity. But what is truly at stake is one little girl’s belief in Santa and her mother’s willingness to give love another chance. \nThe talented ensemble features John T. SUMMARY:Lloyd Jones & The Struggle Band
DESCRIPTION:Portland\, Oregon artist Lloyd Jones has recorded six critically acclaimed albums\, toured internationally\, and racked up dozens of major awards and accolades\, including Oregon’s Music Hall of Fame. He’s a relentless road dog\, hitting festival stages\, Delbert McClinton’s annual Sandy Beaches Cruises (he’s been a regular on six winter cruises)\, and clubs all across the land\, performing to enthusiastic crowds who can’t get enough of his swampy blues\, back porch picking\, and serious-as-anthrax funk\, soul\, roadhouse two-beats\, and old-school rhythm and blues (back before the R&B tag was somehow appropriated for other musical purposes\, apparently when we weren’t looking). Yet he may be the most invisible\, best-kept roots/blues/Americana secret on the contemporary scene. Blues for Dancing is his tagline! \nEvent at the Charbonneau Country Club
