SUMMARY:Healing Presence: Paintings by Claudia Dose
DESCRIPTION:A selection of intuitive\, mixed-media paintings by Oregon-based artist Claudia Dose\, currently on view as part of a Clackamas County Arts Alliance exhibition in a local hospital setting. \nThese works are created through a process of listening and allowing form to emerge\, rather than planning or control. The paintings explore themes of inner movement\, openness\, and the subtle threshold between tension and release. \nPlaced within a healthcare environment\, the intention is simple: to offer moments of pause\, reflection\, and quiet connection for patients\, visitors\, and staff. \nThis exhibition is part of a broader Arts Alliance initiative bringing original artwork into community spaces.

SUMMARY:Witch by Jen Silverman
DESCRIPTION:Clackamas Community College’s Theatre Department will present Jen Silverman’s Witch\, as their Winter 2026 Main Stage Production. \nInspired by a 17th-century Jacobean drama\, Witch puts a modern twist on timeless themes of temptation\, power\, and human desire. What if you were offered a deal with the Devil? Mischief is afoot in the sleepy village of Edmonton and the fate of the world is at stake in this smart modern fable. When the emotionally conflicted son of the local lord and an ambitious newcomer come into opposition\, help presents itself to both of them in the same guise—as the Devil himself. But while these two young men take advantage of the Devil’s bargain to accomplish their own questionable ends\, someone else in town stands her ground—Elizabeth\, an outcast whom everyone believes to be a witch. Clever\, wickedly funny\, and full of sharp insights\, Witch asks: what do we truly value\, and what are we willing to trade to get it? How much are our souls worth when hope is hard to come by? \nA mesmerizing drama that’s filled with unexpected humor and feels as contemporary in theme as today’s headlines. Witch celebrates the power of imagination\, identity\, and the bonds that connect us—even beyond this world. Silverman’s writing moves effortlessly between the poetic and the colloquial\, asking the audience to see the present reflected in the past. \nDirected by Allison Moon\, Witch features a dynamic ensemble of CCC students and staff\, with scenic and lighting design by Chris Whitten\, prop design by Shelly Mortimer\, and costumes by Aiden McFarland. \nWitch runs from February 26 – March 8\, Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30pm\, Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30pm\, Friday\, March 6 at 10am in the Niemeyer Osterman Theatre\, 19600 Molalla Ave.\, Oregon City. Join us for an opening night reception featuring light refreshments and music on February 26 at 6:30pm in the Niemeyer Lobby. \nTickets are $16 for adults\, $14 for seniors (62+) and FREE for all students. Tickets are discounted by $1 if you purchase online. Visit www.clackamas.edu/theatre or call 503-594-3153 for reservations.

SUMMARY:The Glass Menagerie
DESCRIPTION:Lakewood Theatre Company is proud to announce its upcoming production of Tennessee Williams’ timeless memory play\, The Glass Menagerie. This classic of the American stage is widely regarded as the play that launched Williams’ career. With a story that resonates as strongly today as it did at its 1944 premiere\, The Glass Menagerie is a poetic and poignant exploration of family\, memory\, and the struggle between responsibility and freedom. \nThe play\, directed by Antonio Sonera\, opens at Lakewood Theatre on February 27\, 2026\, and runs through April 5\, 2026. Performances are Thursday\, Friday\, and Saturday nights at 7:30 PM\, with one Wednesday performance (Mar. 18) at 7:30 PM\, one Saturday matinee at 2:00 PM (Mar. 28)\, and Sunday matinees at 2:00 PM on Mar. 1\, 8\, 15\, 22\, 28\, and April 5. The show’s title sponsors are the Lakewood Center Associates\, and the directorial sponsor is the Ronni S. Lacroute Fund of Oregon Community Foundation. \nSpecial Note: On Wednesday\, March 18\, the theater continues its WOW: 25-35 program. For audience members 35 and under\, tickets are $30 each. Use the code WOW30 when purchasing tickets online to receive this discount. At this performance\, there will be a complimentary wine tasting one hour before the curtain\, courtesy of local vineyards. OLCC rules apply! Bring your ID for the tasting! \nThe story: Set in St. Louis in the 1930s\, it is told through the eyes of Tom Wingfield (Mario Calcagno)\, who recalls life in a cramped apartment with his formidable mother\, Amanda (Luisa Sermol)\, and his fragile sister\, Laura (Ariel Puls). As the family struggles with financial instability and shattered dreams\, they pin their hopes on the arrival of Jim O’Conner (Spencer Conway)\, a “gentleman caller\,” for Laura.

More than just a play\, The Glass Menagerie is an emotional landscape. It captures the universal ache of looking backward—at the family members we loved\, the ones we left behind\, and the illusions we build to survive reality. It is a story about the fragility of the human heart\, as easily broken as glass. \nLTC’s production of The Glass Menagerie is directed by Antonio Sonera. The stage manager is Kristen Hartman. Scenic design is by John Gerth\, sound design and music composition is by Matthew B. Zrebski\, lighting design is by Kristeen Willis\, costume design is by Sherry Ostendorf\, properties design is by Shelley Aisner\, and the producer is Steve Knox.
