DESCRIPTION:Stairwell Gallery: Polly Zagone’s Textiles \nMonth of October\, all open hours \nThis October\, the Stairwell Gallery will showcase the richly textured textile works of Polly Zagone\, a self-taught artist whose lifelong devotion to stitching\, fabric\, and handcrafted detail transforms everyday materials into vibrant\, dimensional art. Drawing on decades of experience as a cabinetmaker\, woodworker\, and theater craftsperson\, Zagone layers hand dyed fabrics and found objects into pieces with bold colors and designs. Her custom wood hangers and hand braided Kumihimo cords add further depth and craftsmanship to each piece. \nThis exhibition will be on view throughout October during regular library hours. DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Oswego Heritage House for an unforgettable\, local history-themed escape room adventure! Will these stories stay behind glass\, or will you open a door to the past? Something isn’t right here. That book is out of place. There is a card in the display case\, but no item behind it. There are antiques in the incorrect place; and artefacts that are standing wrong side up. Clearly\, the venue needs your help. As curators of other nearby museums\, you are called to the venue after hours in order to help figure out what is causing these disturbances. Once inside\, you are greeted by one of the exhibits who has come to life. They are happy to show you around and share tales about the other exhibits. As you hear stories from their lives\, it becomes clear that one of them is the culprit behind these disturbances. The question is\, which one? Succeed and you will find yourself promoted. Fail\, and you may find yourself trapped behind glass forever. Enter an immersive historic experience where exhibits come to life\, and there’s a mystery for you to solve!
