DESCRIPTION:Join us for an afternoon of music and storytelling with Lake Oswego’s own Stephen Cohen\, also known as 3 Hand Stephen. A musician\, artist\, and published author\, Cohen has performed across the United States and beyond\, creating albums that blend folk\, acoustic\, and experimental sounds. His creativity extends beyond music—he builds sculptural instruments from found objects and guitar strings\, exploring the connection between visual art and sound. \nA livestream will also be available. \nSeating is on a first come\, first served basis. SUMMARY:Bing in the New Year
DESCRIPTION:The third annual Bing in the New Year celebration\, presented by 1847 Food Park\, will take place from 6-9 p.m. Dec. 31\, 2025\, in downtown Milwaukie: Birthplace of the Bing cherry.\nThis free\, family-friendly outdoor event includes live music\, cultural performances\, food\, drinks and vendors. The evening culminates with the lowering\, by crane\, of a 7-foot lighting Bing cherry at 9 p.m. (an “East Coast midnight.”) The event is hosted by the Milwaukie Arts Committee and the Oregon Chinese Coalition. It honors Ah Bing\, the Chinese orchard foreman who first grew this new cherry varietal in Milwaukie in the late 1800s.\nThe event is held at the public lot at the corner of Main and Harrison streets (home to the Milwaukie Farmers Market.)
