These will be low-impact hikes\, roughly 1.5-2 miles in Wilsonville Memorial Park and will use drag as a means of reconnecting people with nature\, learning about our non-human neighbors\, and building community. DESCRIPTION:Honor veterans and acknowledge the start of the Korean War at this event\, which includes the grand opening of the new Oregon Korean War Memorial Interpretive Center. Speakers for the event include Consul General Eunji Seo of the Korean Consulate in Seattle\, and representatives from the Oregon Department of Veterans Affairs\, the Oregon Military Department\, the Korean Society of Oregon and the City of Wilsonville. A special ceremony is being held to award the Korean Ambassador for Peace medal to a dozen Korean War veterans or their family representatives. The Oregon Korean War Memorial Interpretive Center showcases the stories of 90+ Oregon Korean War veterans\, using video\, flip books\, and photos. A topographical map outlines famous Korean War battles and battlelines. Visitors can read interesting stories\, see flags of allies who came to the aid of South Korea\, read about the “Firsts of the Korean War\,” and view everyday items used by soldiers. DESCRIPTION:Did you know there are a bunch of different styles of dance that take place or have taken place at Chapel Theatre? To name a few: \nContemporary\nIrish dance\nJapanese Lion dance\nBallet Folklorico\nFlamenco\nSalsa\nTap\nDance fitness\nBallet \nThese dance styles come from different backgrounds and cultures\, and speak to the diversity of movement that exists in our community. We’re inviting you to a free show to check out a few of these dance styles\, learn a bit about the background of each dance\, and see some demonstrations from a select few. Hang out in our new courtyard\, grab a drink\, and enjoy the performance!

First up\, Reggae legend\, “Aaron Nigel Smith” on Thursday\, June 25 at 6pm\, followed by Pacific Northwest classic funk band\, “Soul Proof” on Thursday\, July 4 at our 4th of July Concert & Laser Light Show. Then\, Latin Funk band\, “Sabroso” on Thursday\, August 13 is playing at 6pm. And last but not least\, on August 20\, at 5:30pm\, Brandon Jones Band is performing at Wilsonville’s Party in the Park! \nConcerts are free! Bring you own lawn chair!
