DESCRIPTION:Join us for a screening of A Letter to Momo. A Letter to Momo is a gentle\, heartfelt animated film about a young girl who moves to a remote island and discovers quirky spirits that help her cope with her father’s death. Originally presented in Japanese\, it will be shown with English subtitles. \nStay after the screening to engage in a thought-provoking discussion about the film. \nA Letter to Momo is part of the Lake Oswego Public Library’s World Cinema Series\, a monthly event showcasing diverse international films. This series takes place at The Lake Theater & Cafe on the last Tuesday of every month at 5:30 PM. \nAdmission is free and no ticket is required (although food and drink purchases are encouraged to offset the cost to the Lake Theater). \nCan’t make it to the screening? SUMMARY:Ledding Library 5-day Teen Playwriting Camp
DESCRIPTION:A 5-day camp for students grades 6-12 to develop an original play. This camp will be led by a produced playwright. Campers will work with their fellow campers to develop and perform a short play with guidance from a peer. Attendees will use collective creation to devise a work in only 5 days! The final day of the camp will culminate in a reader’s theatre performance of the piece that will be open to the public. The camp will take place at the Ledding Library from 1pm to 3pm on August 3rd-7th.

SUMMARY:Baby Sign Language
DESCRIPTION:This event repeats every month on the first Friday. \n\n\n\n\n(Recommended for 0-18 month old children and their caregivers)\n10:30AM (lower level) the first Friday of each month \nTrying to communicate with your infant presents all kinds of challenges. Beyond reading\, singing and talking to them\, Baby Sign Language can provide a unique bond. Christina Schabow of the Portland Early Learning Project will lead this program introducing new themes for each program. \nThis program is sponsored by the Friends of the Lake Oswego Public Library and admission is free\, and there is no registration required.
