The Artist Exhibit Program began in 2002 and continues to provide local artists an opportunity to showcase and sell their artwork commission-free. The process of preparing for an exhibit gives artists skill-building and gallery-readiness training. Over the years, the Arts Alliance has offered workshops for artists that include technical training and assistance and other educational opportunities.

“It was my first time preparing an artist statement for an installation and assigning prices to a large number of pieces, so the program helped me take critical steps towards being more professional. COVID prevented the kind of exposure I would have hoped for, but it was still very satisfying to be selected and create the display. In fact, just being selected has been a huge boost to morale as I continue to develop my skills and lines of work.”
