Clackamas County Arts Alliance receives a
Meyer Memorial Trust Grassroost Grant
Youth Arts For Change – Drawing Upon Their Stories
The $39,960 grant will support a two-year demonstration project using art as an intervention tool for juvenile offenders. The project is designed to connect youth offenders with their community, enhance protective factors against risk vulnerability and expose youth to the positive possibilities of creative expression. Working in partnership with Clackamas County Juvenile Justice Department, Parrott Creek Child & Family Services and North Clackamas School District, the Arts Alliance’s theater training and graphic novel immersion offers adjudicated teens a unique way to complete required community service.
