For the past 6 years, the Clackamas Education Service District presented diverse student artwork selected by public middle and high school art teachers all 10 Clackamas County school districts in a juried art show.
The result is always a stunning array of artwork showcasing the amazing talent of Clackamas County youth through painting, drawing, digital art, ceramics and photography.
This year, more than 150 artworks were on display from March 28 – April 28 at the CESD, and thousands of dollars in scholarships and awards were given out, ranging from free art classes to art scholarships to this special exhibition opportunity.
It was a difficult task to select a small group of work, as there were many extraordinary works in this year’s Show, these are but a representative sample of the amazing talent and ideas of Clackamas County youth.
Lisa Smith, the Program Manager of the Youth Arts for Change Program, selected these specific artworks based upon their expressive content and their ability to convey an idea or theme, consistent with the goals of the Youth Art for Change program.
