This month, we are happy to feature Clackamas County Cultural Coalition Project Grant recipient North Willamette Valley Friends of Music and their presentation of the Aurora Colony Vineyards (ACV) Jazz Festival on August 12, 2018.
In its fourth year, the festival provides an opportunity for local jazz musicians to perform in an outdoor setting for the general public outside of the Portland metropolitan area. Tickets are sold to help offset a portion of the costs. The event, held in Aurora, serves the surrounding area of Canby, Molalla, Oregon City and Wilsonville. The focus remains featuring local Oregon-based talent.
The group put their $1,500 Project Grant toward paying the participating musicians. The ACV Jazz Festival ended up being attended by over 125 people and helped raise over $1,600 toward their scholarship program.
