Apply for the Only Rain Down the Drain Chalk Art Contest!

Deadline: June 21

Help inform the public about keeping our creeks and rivers clean through artistry! The Sandy Arts Commission and City of Sandy invite artists of all ages to apply to draw chalk art on city sidewalks on July 6th and 7th. To apply, submit your drawing to help people learn about rain drains. Include things found near our drains, creeks, rivers, or ocean, that we want to protect, or you may draw things we don’t want to go down our drains.

Submit your art and include your name, age, grade, email on the back of your artwork to the Sandy Library or Sandy Historical Museum. Or apply by email by including a photo of your chart art and your information by emailing [email protected]

Finalists will recreate their chalk design on our sidewalks, for final judging. Artists must be available to work on this art project on July 6th or July 7th.

Email [email protected] if you have any questions.

What will you draw, to help us think about our drains?
