Call to artists and designers!
You are invited to participate in an amazing collaborative community design process and leave your mark on Beaverton’s Historic Downtown. Winning artists will receive $1,000 for their work!
What is it?
CoSign is a program that brings artists, business owners, and sign makers together to create a one-of-a-kind downtown experience for the whole community to enjoy. The Beaverton Downtown Association (BDA) has raised $145,000 to implement the CoSign Program, a national program created by the American Sign Museum, in downtown Beaverton. The result of the program will be 10-12 artistic blade signs that will create a more unique and artistic identity for downtown Beaverton.
Am I eligible?
Artists, graphic designers, and creatives from Washington, Multnomah, Clackamas, Yamhill, and Columbia Counties are preferred, but anyone is welcome.
How do I participate?
You will work with local business owners to develop a sign design concept that aligns with their brand and identity in the community. The whole process will last about six months from design through fabrication and unveiling. To be considered, you MUST attend one of the follow workshops:
