On October 10, we had the privilege of celebrating the four artists participating in our special Artist Exhibit Program ¡Hola Arte! exhibit. This year marked the 4th annual exhibit of work by Latino and Hispanic artists in celebration of Hispanic Heritage month. This year’s featured artists are: Erika Carranza, Savanna Castillo, Kim Ramirez and Jesus Galvez.
Those who attended had the opportunity to talk with the artists and hear about what inspires them and learn pertinent details of the specific artwork they chose to exhibit.
Emmett Wheatfall, Assistant County Administrator, spoke at the reception and shared with everyone how much he has enjoyed seeing the ¡Hola Arte! artwork on the walls as he walks the halls of the Public Services Building several times a day. Emmett reminded us how much Clackamas County values equity, diversity and inclusion and the ¡Hola Arte! exhibit is one example of how we embrace and celebrate these values throughout the county.
Erika and Savanna both brought family and friend supporters to the reception and the photo opportunities were abundant! A wonderful evening of celebrating art and Hispanic heritage!
If you have not yet seen the exhibit, hurry over to the Clackamas County Public Services Building; the exhibit comes down on Thursday, November 1.
