However\, policies of systemic racism have led to waves of displacement and demolition within the city’s historically Black neighborhoods. The ripple effects of generations of housing discrimination continue to shape Portland’s demographics and Black Portlanders’ opportunities within a rapidly gentrifying city. \nThis program is offered by the Lake Oswego Public Library in cooperation with the Lake Theater & Café.
