The beautiful lives of Barbara and David Kahn begin to totter when Barbara’s sister arrives with husband – and mother – in tow. After depositing an uncooperative Sophie with Barbara, they leave to “rescue” their college-age daughter from her education.
Back in Manhattan, Sophie meets an artist who offers to paint her portrait – and brighten her world.
