Our Work

WHAT WE DO

ARTS FOR ALL

We are the voice for Clackamas County arts and culture, ensuring that our county is represented in regional, county, and city planning, as well as funding decisions and allocations. Clackamas County Arts Alliance is at the center of a resurgence in arts experiences and cultural opportunities which will continue to grow in the coming years. We will play an increasing role as a liaison between local government, Clackamas County businesses, area artists and creatives, arts enthusiasts, and the broader regional arts sector.

LINK PEOPLE WITH POSSIBILITY

We nurture local artists and creatives – and encourage network building – by providing connections with training, performance and exhibition opportunities, and commerce channels. Workshops are often available for community members wishing to explore their creativity.

PROMOTE ARTS + CULTURE EVENTS

We maintain a robust calendar of activities, experiences, and opportunities for everyone in the public to enjoy. We have a little of everything for everyone. Explore the wonder of Clackamas County with us.

ENGAGE AREA BUSINESSES

Whether facilitating access to an installation of public art or encouraging sponsorship of arts-based initiatives, we are a bridge between the creative community and the business sector.

LEAD COLLABORATIVE EFFORTS

We are the chief resource for five arts commissions, six guilds, 12 libraries, 35 museums, and hundreds of artists, writers, performers, creative entrepreneurs, businesses, and educators. We are the fiscal agent for the Clackamas County Cultural Coalition, which distributes Oregon Cultural Trust funds to more than 75 local arts, history, heritage, humanities organizations, and cultural creatives.

ADVOCATE FOR ARTS + CULTURE

We work directly with the Clackamas County Board of Commissioners and other local governments and agencies to help them understand the value and benefit of a vibrant arts and culture community. We speak out for adequate funding and investments that benefit artists and creatives, cultural partners, and the local economy.

ELEVATE ARTS AS AN ECONOMIC DRIVER

We identify connections between the arts and economic opportunity, working closely with Clackamas County Tourism & Cultural Affairs and local businesses to attract visitors to Clackamas County. We lead Clackamas County’s participation in the Arts & Economic Prosperity Study, facilitated by Americans for the Arts to track the economic impact of spending by nonprofit arts and culture organizations and their audiences.

BOOST ACCESS & PARTICIPATION

Our Artists Exhibition Program, local arts festivals, and other creative activities connect the public with cultural enrichment and showcase local artists and arts organizations.

"You can make an impact on how many people are changed, moved, and brought together by arts and culture. Consider a donation today. We can do more with your support."
