Tilikum Chamber Orchestra: “Looking to the Future and the Past”

Sam Ross conducts “Looking to the Future and the Past”, a program of works which spans over 350 years of innovative works. Some, such as Biber’s wild “Battalia à 10”, employ new and experimental techniques for the musicians. Beethoven’s first symphony, builds on the symphonic legacies of Haydn and Mozart while foreshadowing the genius Beethoven would bring to the form. TCO is also delighted to give the world premier of a work by the contemporary composer, Manar Hashmi, written specially for the orchestra.
