Share your skills and develop new ones as part of the Mark Prairie leadership team! Let’s bring this place to life!
• Board member – grow the Board by bringing these skills to the group: treasurer, volunteer coordinator, membership chair, fundraising, site management, marketing/PR… (monthly Zoom mtg)
• Events & Activities – Plan & Coordinate one or more: movie night, lecture, musical performance, class, game night, monthly potluck, day camp, workshop, living history, oral history, car show/rally, fundraising event, galas, school visit, cyclist outing…oh, so many possibilities! Just need someone to run with an idea!
• Site Interpretation – signs, archival & artifact exhibits, historic research, lead tours & host open houses
• Archival – organize & research historical photos and documents (do you like genealogy or scrapbooking?)
• Site Maintenance – plant & maintain native plants, weed, limb clean-up, repair/replace fences…
• Building Maintenance – minor repairs, maintenance & improvements + preservation plan…
• Administrative – finances, grant writing, records, marketing, communications, insurance, legal
