December 16, 2025 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm PST

Kimberly Moreland serves as the President of the Oregon Black Pioneers, whose mission is to preserve the history of Black Oregonians. On behalf of the Oregon Black Pioneers, she authored Images of America: African Americans of Portland.

Kimberly began documenting Portland’s Black history as a city planner with the City of Portland. She worked with the community advisory committee and local historians to produce History of Portland’s African American History (1805 to the Present). Moreland assisted the City of Portland in successfully listing five historic buildings significant to Portland’s African American history.
This program is supported by the Friends of the Lake Oswego Public Library and offered by Lake Oswego Public Library in cooperation with Lake Theater & Cafe. Admission is free and no ticket is required (though food and drink purchases are encouraged to offset the cost to Lake Theater). Doors open at 6:30pm, the presentation begins at 7:00pm.
Lake Theater & Cafe is located at 106 N. State Street in Lake Oswego. For more information, contact Alicia Yokoyama at [email protected] or 503-534-4228.
