KATE SCHATZ is an author, educator, and public speaker. She’s the New York Times-bestselling author of the “Rad Women” book series, and Do the Work: An Anti-Racist Activity Book, co-written with “United Shades of America” host W. Kamau Bell.
Her new historical fiction novel, Where the Girls Were, is a coming-of-age tale about a pregnant teenager sent to live in a home for unwed mothers, set in San Francisco during the tumultuous 1960s.
